Why an IT company for AI?

Most AI risks are IT risks: who can see which files, where data is stored, which accounts have access, and what happens when an automation sends the wrong thing. Because Star X already manages networks, Microsoft 365 and security for local businesses, we set up AI on a foundation that's secure, and we're still there to support it after the training ends.

What does an AI training session cover?

Practical use cases for your team's actual work, safe and responsible AI use, prompting basics, what data must never go into public AI tools, and hands-on exercises using the tools you have, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot or ChatGPT Team.

What is an AI Champion?

An AI Champion is an employee (not a developer) trained to configure your AI tools, write and share good prompts, automate repetitive tasks and help colleagues use AI correctly. Most businesses start with one or two Champions, then scale.

Can AI really help a small business?

Yes, when it's aimed at specific tasks: summarizing long emails and meetings, drafting proposals and replies, extracting information from documents, and answering staff questions from your own policies. We start with two or three workflows where time savings are easy to measure.

How do you keep our data safe when using AI?

We use business versions of AI tools that don't train on your data, set role-based access, review file permissions before turning on tools like Copilot, write a short acceptable-use policy, and add human approval steps for anything sent to customers.

Do you offer remote training?

Yes. We train on-site in Richmond and Delta and remotely for teams in Burnaby, Vancouver and elsewhere in BC.

What's included in the free AI readiness check?

A short call and review of how your team works, the tools and licences you already have, and your data security. You get two or three recommended quick wins and a simple roadmap. No obligation.
